Influence of blood temperature on the pulmonary circulation.

چکیده
DURING physiologic studies of total body perfusion we encountered unexpected fluctuations of pulmonary vascular pressures which apparently were related to changes of the blood temperature. The literature does not describe adequately controlled experiments concerned with the effect of blood temperature on pulmonary hemodynaniics. We therefore devised and investigated a preparation in which the innervated, ventilated and nourished dog lungs were perfused in situ and in which we analyzed the temperature factor with minimal interference by other major variables affecting the pulmonary circulation (pulmonary and systemic blood flow, ventilatory pressure, composition of alveolar gas, pH of the circulating blood).

Influence of atmospheric circulation patterns on dust transport during Harmattan Period in West Africa
This study has used TOMS AI as well as the reanalysis dataset of thirty-four years (1979-2012) to investigate the influence of atmospheric circulation on dust transport during the Harmattan period in West Africa, using Aerosol Index (AI) data, obtained from various satellite sensors. Changes in Inter-Tropical Discontinuity (ITD), Sea Surface Temperature (SST) over the Gulf of Guinea, and North ...

متن کاملMathematical Modelling of Pulmonary Edema
The excess accumulation of water in lung interstitial or alveolar is called pulmonary edema which is caused by factors that upset the normal Starling balance in micro-circulation. Pulmonary edema disturbs the alveolar gas exchanges which are normally regulated by the respiratory system. Mathematical modelling of pulmonary edema may help to predict the lung conditions and the mechanisms involved...
